I peed in the bin yesterday but I told mummy it was OK because I washed my hands afterwards.
Today we went to (neighbour) Fernanda's as (her husband, mechanic) Louis has the au pair car in for repairs, so mummy wanted to briefly talk to him about what needed to be done. I left the house before mummy, got into her car and started the engine. That'll teach mum for leaving the keys in the ignition. Unfortunately she ran out and grabbed the keys before I started driving anywhere - it could have been even more fun.
This morning we visited the stone age village of Gletterens, where we cooked bread on a stick over a fire. Our bread got burnt because I ran away and mum had to prop the bread sticks on a stone while she ran after me, and they were too near the fire.
Archaologists in bear skins were demonstrating how people lived at the time. They came back from the hunt with a wild bore - split down the middle, its legs tied to carrying poles. I asked mummy lots of questions all day about what the pig was like, how fast they had to run to catch it and whether they were out of breath, whether children could catch wild bores and whether it had been a naughty pig and what happened to it when it died!
She told me it had been rampaging through the crops and had eaten all the farmer's wheat and anyway, the stone age men needed something to eat and they would put every bit of that bore's body to good use. I accepted this. Even after watching them peel the creature's skin off with stone age tools I still wanted a bit for lunch!

This morning mummy and I went to the thermal baths in Yverdon and I told mummy lots of stories on the way about heads exlpoding and monsters crashing into eachother and being eaten by alligators.
At the baths I had great fun jumping in off the edge, even though I wasn't strictly allowed to. The pool inspector lifeguard bloke was standing nearby and didn't say anything so I carried on. Afterwards, while mummy was drying her hair I used another hair dryer to blow around the contents of the bin.
In the afternoon Ciara took me to the Lora Park, where I drive go carts and jump on trampolines and slide down giant inflated things. I call this place "The Bouncy Castle". There is a lady there who likes me a lot. Her name is Jamie and she has multiple piercings.
Meanwhile mummy went sailing. Well she tried to sail but she and Kay got marooned near a stone pier and had to be towed back to harbour by a passing motor boat. I wasn't very impressed. Mummy was equally unimpressive on holiday in Italy, with the big inflated dinghy. She rowed us one way but couldn't row us back the other so had to drag the boat along the shoreline back to where we had our towels. Ciara's rowing was even more rubbish. I was glad I had a life jacket on.
We went on holiday in Italy from the end of July until 11th August. Nanny came with us and we had a lovely time. We stayed at holiday apartments in Luino near the Laggo Maggiore. I played at the paddling pool with a Swiss girl aged 4, but the other people were German and their children older. There was a sand pit, table tennis, table football and a sand strip for petang so lots to do outside. Every day we took food for the rabbits in the neighbour's garden. Mummy's favorite was Nero, who had shaggy grey hair and long whiskers.
Mummy and daddy made frineds with a doctor called Bernhard, who was staying in the downstairs flat. In lugano they met Bruno and Andrea on the noddy train and went back to their apartment for dinner a few days later.
We went to Switzerland in Miniature which had tiny models of cable cars and trains whizzing all over the place. We also visited Locarno, a chocolate factory, a nice garden in Morcote, and a zoo where a gibbon held people's hands. We went to a few places where we got cable cars up mountains and daddy set up a race course for me on our terrace so I could be a racing driver on my mini 3-wheeler.
Nanny bought me a new scooter in the market and I do tricks on it, and a new buggy because they got fed up of carrying me when I get tired! The lady in the shop said I was already too big for the buggy but mummy bought it anyway. I am very big now and when I jump on people I hear their bones snap.
The gardery opens again tomorrow following a month long summer break. Looking forward to seeing my friends again. Not looking forward to prolonged periods on the naughty chair. Gymnastics also starts again - Mondays and Wednesdays.
Mummy did gardening this weekend and I did an open air pee, which must have been ok as Dominique smiled at me. She played with me and chased me in her house while Gaby spoke to mummy about gardening problems.
Daddy is away in Kenya til the end of August and I miss him a lot but mummy tries to tickle me a bit more to make up for him being away. I wish he would come home NOW.

Daddy: Shall I tell you a story?
George: Yes, about the three bears.
Daddy: Ok, well snuggle up.
(snuggle takes place)
Daddy: Once upon a time there were three bears who went on a picnic...
George: ... near a lake
Daddy: Yes near a lake. And...
George: There was a crocodile.
Daddy: uuuurmmm - no there wasn't?
George: Yes there was.
Daddy: Aha, ok so there was a crocodile and..
George: ... a big whale and a small whale.
Daddy: ... not in this story there wasn't?
George: .... and the big whale was the mummy one.
Daddy: George do YOU want to tell the story?
George: .... no you carry on.... I like you telling me this story...

Hi, Daddy is home after a long time in Sri Lanka working - it is great to have him here again: every morning me and mummy and daddy have a big cuddle together- although I do tend to get tickled a lot too! I have been a good boy recently - it's official - dad says so. This week I've been swimming, to the butterfly place (there's monkeys and other animals too), to the zoo (with large tigers and lions) and. of course, each morning to the garderie - where I play with my friends. The weather has been poo (hahahaha!) - mum's word not mine - with lots of rain and wind. The other day Ciara and I painted some stars on my bedroom wall with a sponge-thing - they are cool. I also now have some stars on my cieling which only show up when my light is turned off at bedtime; everynight daddy cuddles me and asks me to count them, but I have not succeeded completely yet as I doze off to sleep (is this a parental ploy?) Mum plays with me every evening when she gets home from work in Bern - I tell her very loudly and enthusiastically of my day - good and bad. I tell mummy that she is my friend - and she is (the best friend anyone could ever have). Bye, must go to Bern to the English playgroup.

Came back from England on Saturday after a ten day stay at nanny's house. I got a bit bored there sometimes so had to make my own entertainment. This consisted of chasing the cat, throwing all manner of things through the cat flap into the garden, preferably hitting the cat with those flying objects, bashing the toilet door with a foot pummice, pouring myself a sherry and breaking the plug in the bathroom. Sometimes I jumped a bit too energetically onto mummy's lap and spilled whatever was in her hand at the time, so there was lots of mopping up of red wine. Nanny got a bit cross with me because I was so naughty.
Mummy bought lots of films in second hand shops. We got The Cat in the Hat, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, My Fair Lady, The Jungle Book and the Wizard of Oz. I liked Chitty Chitty Bang Bang best. The Wizard of Oz was a bit scary but not too scary. Dinasaurs are scarier.
Uncle Steve came on Saturday and then we all went to Hackney to see nanny bounce on Sunday. Aunty Sandra and Uncle Alan were there too. Aunty Sandra is very kind and gave me lots of books. Nanny Bounce is lovely and cuddly. I played with Alison in the park while they went for a Chinese meal. Then I needed a poo but the public toilets in the park did not meet my Swiss influenced hygienic expectations. So I held it in til mummy came and took us back to nanny bounce's.
On Monday we met Josh and his mummy and dadddy, Chuck and Inky, at Finsbury Park. Chuck looked after me and Josh, who is my age and also a very good climber. The park was great but I couldn't help kicking sand in other small children's faces. Mummy found out and made me apologise to all the children crying, and their mummies. Mum and Inky bought chicken and chips at Nandos and we had a front room feast. Josh has a cool electric piano and big remote controlled cat truck, which I played with a lot. He speaks English and Icelandic!
Highlight of trip was visit to Victoria, where Gena and Thomas Henry were staying in a big flat. On Wednesday 13th we stayed the night there. Little Billy, Rick's boy, came over with his mum and dad and we ran up and down the corridor and shouted a lot. Went out for a ridiculously expensive pizza. It was yummy. Mummy slept in the same bed as me and I managed to make her fall out three times by taking up all the space. She was very tired the next day. So was I, but I managed to have a big kip the next day in my push chair. I let Gena and Thomas Henry push me as I felt they deserved it the most. Thomas Henry ran very fast during his pushing sessions, which was quite exciting but got mummy all worried.
We went to the National History Museum and saw lots of big dinasaurs. I held on to mummy tight when t-rex roared at us. He looked like he wanted a small George snack. We were sad to say goodbye to Gena and Thomas Henry but said we would visit them soon in America.
We also visited the Dene city farm in Morden, which just had a few chickens and a horse, and Donnyngs adventure playground in Reading, which was less of an adventure than my back garden. We thought it would be like he bouncy castle place in Payerne but it was just a load of mats on the floor and a few squishy shapes to climb on. Mummy bought me a long purple sausagy thing to take in the pool, which was great, and I spent some time hitting her and Alison with it, which made all the other children laugh. I really am rather funny.
On Sunday night Alison got in bed with me because I was crying but she soon started to leave again. I only managed to entice her to stay by letting her put her hand in the opening to the quilt, my special pocket. Noone can resist that. We miss daddy a lot.
I made Alison mad by saying the house was mine and mummy's but not hers. She made me stand outside the back door, which was disturbing for a second, but later said she was sorry. We have a new au pair, Ciara, who will be taking over from Alison when she goes back to her mummy and daddy's house in Canada. Ciara is nice and gentle and cut the lawn and cleaned the house while we were away. She is from Michigan in the US. I will miss Alison but I will keep loving her and she says she will visit us again next year. I hope so. She is my best friend.
