We had a great weekend. On Sunday we visited my mate Merle in Bern and played a lot in her front room before going to the communications museum, where there were lots of buttons to push. Mummy and I had our photo taken in a booth, and then we saw ourselves on TV. I looked very handsome in my new blue jumper that nanny knitted, and I showed everyone my jumper. Afterwards, Merle's mummy and my mummy pushed us side by side in the pram and I held hands with Merle. We played in the park near the cathedral.
On Saturday mummy took me to the children's parade in Avenches. It was carnival and all the children were dressed up in different costumes, and bands in funny dresses were also playing music. I sat on mummy's shoulders so I had a great view. On Sunday mummy took me to the carnival again - those same bands were playing in the Roman arena and making lots of lovely noise. I clapped my hands a lot.
On Sunday afternoon aunty Adele and her daughter Jessica looked after me and we visited a farm with pigs and then played with the electric trainset which was much better than my little wooden one at home. But I didn't like the pasta Adele cooked and had to politely refuse it. I didn't say YUK this time, like I do sometimes when Alison cooks.
Daddy has gone away for a week in Stans and I will miss him a lot. I hope he phones to talk to me.
